About the role

Matachica Resort & Spa is looking for a Beach & Watersports Attendant. The beach is the first thing guests see and the last thing they want to leave; this role keeps it right from early morning and keeps guests safe on the water.

Responsibilities

Set up, maintain and reset all beach furniture, palapas and pool furniture
Look after kayaks, paddleboards and all sporting equipment
Supervise guests on the water and respond if someone needs help
Assist with boat arrivals at the pier, with guests and luggage
Provide towel service throughout the day

Requirements

A valid captain's license is required to operate a boat in Belize
A strong swimmer, able to carry out a water rescue
Available for early starts, as the beach is set before the first guest is out
Friendly, dependable and team-oriented
Everything else is taught on the job
