Custodian – Belize City
About the role
San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi is hiring a full-time Custodian for its Belize City terminal. The Custodian keeps the terminal clean, safe and welcoming for passengers and staff, including restrooms, waiting areas, offices and outdoor spaces.
Responsibilities
- Keep terminal areas clean, including restrooms, waiting areas, offices and outdoor spaces
- Do routine cleaning such as sweeping, mopping and waste removal
- Restock restroom supplies and keep facilities sanitary and presentable
- Check cleanliness throughout the day and deal with immediate needs
- Help with general upkeep and other cleaning tasks as needed
- Follow company standards and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
- Able to work independently and manage time well
- Team-oriented, with a professional attitude
- Follows instructions and safety procedures
- Reliable, consistent, dependable and punctual
- Physically able to bend, lift and carry out cleaning duties
- Comfortable in a fast-paced operational environment, working indoors and outdoors across several areas each shift
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma (preferred, not required)
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience
