About the role
Support the hospital’s day-to-day upkeep by completing practical repairs and helping maintain a safe, clean and dependable facility.
Responsibilities
- Complete minor repairs to facilities, equipment, fixtures and furniture
- Assist with housekeeping and facility-support needs
- Keep work areas safe and clean
- Follow infection-control practices
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting work
- Maintain work and maintenance records
- Help move, lift and set up furniture or equipment
- Work reliably with the wider facilities team
Requirements
- Prior handyman or general maintenance experience is an asset
- Practical knowledge of common repair tasks and tools
- Ability to safely lift and move items
- Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work as part of a team
