About the role

Digi is hiring a Mobile & IMS Cloud Core Implementation and Migration Expert for its Operations Division in Belize City. The role is a senior technical lead for moving Digi's Mobile Core and IMS network to cloud-native infrastructure, covering design review, deployment oversight, migration readiness, and coordination with vendors, internal teams and executives.

Responsibilities

Give expert guidance on core network modernization, evaluate vendor proposals and solution designs, and identify risks
Review and validate high-level and low-level designs for scalability, security, resilience and future network growth
Supervise installation, commissioning and configuration, and make sure deployments match approved designs and pass acceptance testing
Assess migration procedures, rollback plans and operational KPIs to support go/no-go decisions and keep the network stable after migration
Manage third-party integrations, validate services end to end, and resolve interface issues with vendors and internal teams
Deliver technical reports to stakeholders, keep risk and lessons-learned records, and hand the work over smoothly to operations

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering
Master's degree in Telecommunications, Telecommunications Engineering or a related field
At least 5 years' experience in Mobile Core networks, IMS, and telecom infrastructure planning, engineering and optimization
Huawei Certified Internetwork Expert (HCIE) or an equivalent advanced certification in Mobile Core, Cloud and IMS
Strong expertise in mobile core networks, cloud-native telecom infrastructure and network virtualization
Experience reviewing and validating high-level and low-level designs, architecture documents and technical proposals
Experience with network modernization, cloud transformation, system integration, acceptance testing and migration
Ability to assess technical risks and evaluate vendor solutions
Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Experience preparing technical reports, capacity forecasts, engineering assessments and recommendations for executives
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Preferred qualifications

Knowledge of 4G and future core network technologies and cloud-based telecom architectures
