Assistant Statistician II – Economic Statistics
About the role
The Statistical Institute of Belize is hiring an Assistant Statistician II for its Economic Statistics Department. This is a one-year temporary post based in Belmopan, reporting to the Statistician II.
Responsibilities
- Compile and clean administrative data from Customs and other sources
- Help collect economic data and maintain databases
- Run CPI data quality and vetting checks
- Update the statistical business register
- Help train and supervise temporary staff, and write quarterly reports
Requirements
- Associate's degree in applied statistics, economics, mathematics or a related field
- Proficiency in MS Office, Access and SPSS
