About the role

Belize Sugar Industries Limited (part of ASR Group) is hiring a Bagging Foreman at Tower Hill, Orange Walk. The foreman supervises direct-consumption sugar conditioning and packaging to meet production, quality, safety and hygiene standards, and works with maintenance to keep bagging equipment in good condition. The role involves rotating shifts in a hot, noisy environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily sugar bagging operations
Monitor machine performance, bag weights, sealing and labelling, and correct weight deviations
Assign, supervise and train senior and junior bagging staff on equipment, safety and good manufacturing practices
Ensure food safety, hygiene, environmental and packaging standards are met
Coordinate preventive checks and repairs with maintenance
Keep daily production, loss and overtime reports and support dispatch

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in bagging or packaging operations, including 2 years as a supervisor
Knowledge of packaging machinery, weighing systems and safety practices
Strong leadership, attention to detail and physical stamina
Good written and oral communication skills
Basic Excel and Word skills
Willing to work rotating shifts in heat and noise

Preferred qualifications

High school diploma or technical training in mechanical or industrial operation
Food or sugar processing background
