About the role
San Pedro Belize Express Water Taxi is hiring a Cargo Cashier in Belize City. The Cargo Cashier processes cargo transactions, handles payments and keeps cargo documentation in order.
Responsibilities
- Process cargo shipments, invoices and receipts
- Calculate cargo charges and take cash, card and other approved payments, giving change and receipts
- Verify cargo documentation
- Keep transaction records and reconcile at the end of each shift
- Help customers with cargo rates and procedures
- Coordinate with Cargo Agents on discrepancies
Requirements
- High school diploma
- At least 18 years old
- Fluent English
- Flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Able to stand for long periods
Preferred qualifications
- Spanish
- Cashier, customer service or sales experience
- Cash handling experience
- Cargo experience
