About the role

Belize Sugar Industries is hiring a Condition Monitoring Technician at Tower Hill, Orange Walk. The technician collects, validates and analyses condition and performance data to support ongoing monitoring of plant equipment, identify developing issues, and provide timely recommendations that improve reliability and availability.

Responsibilities

Collect data, analyse it and recommend action based on equipment condition-monitoring trends.
Continuously review and improve condition-monitoring programs, including vibration analysis, thermography, shaft alignment and ultrasound analysis.
Oversee implementation of the lubrication program for all plant equipment.
Monitor equipment condition trends and make recommendations to maintain optimum plant operation and production.
Recommend maintenance work based on monitoring trends.
Maintain records of equipment conditions and maintenance and repair history.
Participate in root cause analysis sessions on equipment failures.

Requirements

Associate's degree in Science, Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Able to work flexible hours when needed, including shifts, weekends and public and bank holidays.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated and team-oriented, with an excellent work ethic.
Able to work in indoor and outdoor conditions, including manual labour and heavy lifting.

Preferred qualifications

Basic maintenance and reliability experience in a heavy industrial environment.
