About the role

Ian Anderson's Caves Branch Jungle Lodge is looking for an experienced, motivated Garage Supervisor to lead its garage operations and mechanical team. The role suits someone with strong mechanical knowledge, leadership skills and a drive to keep the lodge's vehicles, equipment and operations running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations of the garage and supervise mechanics and support staff
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues on tractors, diesel vans, 4x4 vehicles and other equipment
Coordinate and assign work so repairs and maintenance are efficient and timely
Manage inventory and ordering of parts, tools and supplies
Work with automotive and machinery suppliers
Keep accurate records, logs and maintenance schedules
Keep the work environment safe, organized and productive
Support the team with hands-on mechanical work as needed

Requirements

Strong mechanical and diesel experience (tractors, diesel vans, heavy equipment, etc.)
Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in a garage or fleet maintenance environment
Knowledge of parts inventory management and supplier coordination
Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Strong leadership and communication skills
Detail-oriented and organized
Able to work independently and make decisions
