About the role

St. Francis Xavier Credit Union is seeking a reliable, service-oriented IT Technician to provide technical support and keep its technology systems running.

Responsibilities

Install, configure and maintain workstations, laptops, printers, scanners, cameras and other IT equipment
Provide first- and second-level support for hardware, software and network issues
Support core banking systems, teller platforms and member service applications
Perform preventative maintenance and monitor system performance
Assist with IT security controls, backups and compliance
Manage user accounts and system access
Maintain documentation and track IT assets and software licences

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in IT support, help desk or a related role
Strong knowledge of Windows, computer hardware, peripherals and basic networking
Willing to work after hours and on weekends as needed

Preferred qualifications

Technical or vocational training, or an associate degree in IT or a related field
Experience in a financial institution or regulated environment
