About the role

Harvest Caye is hiring Lagoon Rental Staff to keep the Manatee Lagoon and Nature Trail safe and to promote and sell island activities to guests. The role reports to the Lagoon Rental Supervisor and is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

Maintain lagoon and nature-trail safety on ship days and respond calmly to emergencies, using VHF radios, whistles and flags
Greet guests and give excursion and activity information
Repair and maintain rental equipment, including kayaks, paddleboards, electric boats, the wave runner dock and pedal boards
Help with daily upkeep of the island and grounds, carry out regular inventories, and clean and disinfect equipment
Take part in training and drills, enforce aquatic and island policies, and help secure equipment in bad weather

Requirements

2 years of resort hospitality or similar experience
Able to swim and respond to in-water emergencies
First Aid and CPR certification (minimum PADI Emergency First Responder, American Red Cross or equivalent)
Intermediate Word and Excel skills
Intermediate to advanced written and verbal English
High school diploma or equivalent
Able to work 7 days a week
Professional appearance
