About the role

Belize Audubon Society is hiring a Park Ranger to patrol and protect Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary (CBWS), welcome visitors and help maintain the sanctuary. The role is based on site in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

Patrol and protect the sanctuary
Welcome visitors and tour guides, and handle front desk duties
Maintain trails, buildings, vehicles and equipment
Support research, bird monitoring and environmental education
Record patrols using SMART (training provided)

Requirements

High school diploma at minimum, or equivalent years of experience in the area
Physically fit, courteous and professional
Knowledge of protected areas and basic computer skills
Valid Class A driver's license
Willing to live on site in a remote setting and work shifts

Bilingual
