Partnerships Officer (NO-C)
About the role
The United Nations Resident Coordinator Office in Belize is hiring a Partnerships Officer (Development Coordination Officer, Partnerships) at the National Professional Officer level (NO-C) in Belmopan. This is a one-year fixed-term appointment. The officer supports the UN Country Team’s strategic partnerships and resource mobilization for the Sustainable Development Goals.
Responsibilities
- Support strategic planning and coordination of UN Country Team partnerships with government, the private sector, civil society and others
- Advise on developing and implementing the UN Partnership Strategy
- Serve as an entry point for external stakeholders seeking to partner with the UN Country Team
- Support joint resource mobilization for the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework, including pooled funds
- Work with the RCO economist and UN finance experts on partnerships for SDG financing
- Provide inputs on due diligence for potential partnerships
- Support knowledge management and capacity development on partnerships and resource mobilization
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in business or public administration, sustainable development, social sciences, education or a related area (or a first degree plus two additional years of experience)
- At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in partnerships, project or programme management, or resource mobilization in development cooperation
- Experience developing strategic partnerships across government, the private sector and civil society
- Experience preparing project or programme proposals
- English required
- Belizean nationality

- Training in data analytics, business analytics or data science
