About the role

The Philip Goldson International Airport (operated by the Belize Airport Concession Company) needs a Preboard Clerk to process international and domestic passengers and provide clerical support to the Accounts Department. The clerk should solve problems, use initiative and good judgment, suggest improvements, work with minimum supervision and aim for excellent customer satisfaction. Courtesy with passengers and the public is a major part of the job.

Responsibilities

Process passengers' travel documents and enter the data into the boarding software.
Reconcile flights using boarding data, airline manifests and departure records.
Ensure that only ticketed passengers and authorized personnel proceed beyond the pre-board area.
Enter data for aircraft landings.
Provide relief for the Car Park Attendant.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum of an Associate Degree and at least 1 year of work experience.
Excellent public relations skills and a good command of English.
Computer literate.
Able to work weekends and holidays, and willing to work extra hours.
Punctual, supportive of co-workers and able to work with minimum supervision.

Preferred qualifications

Ability to speak other languages.
