Procurement Officer – Central Executing Unit, Ministry of Finance

About the role

The Ministry of Finance invites qualified individuals to apply for the contractual position of Procurement Officer in its Central Executing Unit (CEU), under the Sustainable and Inclusive Urban Development Program financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). The program supports sustainable urban development in municipalities in northern Belize through better access to urban services, local economic growth, and the social and economic integration of vulnerable groups such as migrants and women. The Procurement Officer coordinates the full procurement cycle so that procurement is timely, transparent and compliant. The role is assigned to the Sustainable and Inclusive Belize Project but, under the CEU's shared-services model, serves the whole unit's project portfolio. The post is office-based at the Ministry of Finance in Belmopan, and selection follows the IDB's individual consultant selection method.
