Project Officer – Project EPICx

About the role

The Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Belize's development bank, is hiring a Project Officer on contract for Project EPICx, its enterprise transformation programme, at its headquarters in Belmopan. The Project Officer provides project governance, coordination, monitoring and administrative support, and serves as a central coordination point across workstreams so that activities stay aligned with approved schedules, milestones, governance standards and project objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Project coordination: monitor schedules, milestones, deliverables, deadlines and workstream activities
  • Requirements management: coordinate business requirements, process definitions and user stories from development through testing and implementation
  • Project governance: maintain project registers, action logs, decision records and governance documentation
  • Risk and change management: track risks, issues, dependencies and change requests, and escalate concerns as needed
  • Reporting: prepare project status reports, dashboards and performance updates for management
  • Stakeholder coordination: support communication and collaboration among workstream leaders, departments and stakeholders
  • Meetings: coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas and materials, record minutes and track action items
  • Documentation: keep organised, accurate, version-controlled and audit-ready project records
  • Implementation support: assist with quality assurance, testing, user acceptance testing, deliverables and deployment readiness
  • Perform other project-related duties assigned by the Project Manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline
  • At least two years' experience in project management, project coordination, business operations, project administration, business analysis, or a related field

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience supporting enterprise projects or system implementations
