About the role

Belize Sugar Industries is hiring a Security Officer for its properties in the Orange Walk area. The Security Officer makes sure the company's security protocols and policies are followed and protects company property through static posts, patrols and escort duties.

Responsibilities

Patrol the company's properties in the Orange Walk area
Report to the assigned area and carry out all duties diligently
Respond quickly to accidents and incidents that affect the company
Write reports on all accidents and incidents
Carry out other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Security Manager

Requirements

High school diploma
Valid Class A driver's licence
Able to drive standard-transmission and 4x4 off-road vehicles
Security, police or military background, or equivalent skills
Bilingual in English and Spanish, spoken and written
Excellent written and communication skills
Team-oriented, with good interpersonal skills
Able to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends and holidays
Physically fit and able to stand for long hours in all weather
Must be able to legally carry and use firearms on duty
