Senior Integration Engineer

Belize CityFull-time

About the role

CRNCY Group is hiring a hands-on Senior Integration Engineer to build and run the real-time integration layer for its contact centre, connecting Monumint, uContact, its Loan Management System, internal services and third-party APIs on an event-driven core. The team ships production code weekly and works with AI coding agents.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build integrations across Monumint, uContact, the LMS, internal applications and third-party services using Kafka event streams, REST APIs and webhooks
  • Build on the event-driven architecture: producers and consumers, topic and schema design, idempotency, ordering, retries, dead-letter handling and backpressure
  • Build Node/TypeScript services in NestJS, run as containers on GCP and backed by Postgres
  • Build MCP servers that give AI agents and engagement platforms safe, well-scoped access to systems and data
  • Turn contact centre workflow improvements into production features, such as call routing driven by real-time account status
  • Make integrations observable (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting) and own their production health, from incident response to root-cause fixes
  • Secure every interface (OAuth 2.0, JWT, API keys, secrets management) and assess vendor APIs for feasibility and fit
  • Keep architecture, API contracts and data mappings documented

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field, or equivalent education, certifications and experience
  • Significant software engineering experience (typically 6+ years), much of it building and running integrations
  • Strong Node.js and TypeScript
  • Production experience with NestJS or a comparable modern API framework
  • GCP and containerized workloads (Docker plus GKE or Cloud Run), with CI/CD
  • Postgres schema design, query performance and transactional patterns such as the outbox pattern
  • Experience building MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers
  • Deep familiarity with event-driven architecture and Kafka in production, including high-throughput integrations for business-critical applications
  • Clear communication with operations and business stakeholders
  • Daily use of AI coding agents, including running several in parallel and verifying their output

Preferred qualifications

  • NestJS experience
