About the role

Belize Sugar Industries Limited (part of ASR Group) is hiring a Tire Service Operator at Tower Hill, Orange Walk. The operator inspects, repairs, maintains and replaces tires on company vehicles, heavy equipment, trailers and mobile machinery, including mounting, balancing, puncture repair and vulcanizing.

Responsibilities

Inspect tires for wear, damage, punctures, cuts and alignment issues
Check tread depth and air pressure regularly
Carry out puncture repairs and hot and cold vulcanizing of tires and tubes
Remove, install, mount and demount tires on light vehicles, trucks, trailers, tractors, loaders and heavy equipment
Maintain tire inventory and report shortages
Keep the work area clean and follow safety and PPE procedures when handling heavy tires and pressurized equipment

Requirements

High school diploma in vocational or technical studies
1–3 years of experience in tire repair and maintenance
Basic understanding of fleet maintenance
Knowledge of tire construction and repair techniques, including vulcanizing equipment
Physical stamina to lift heavy tires
Attention to detail, commitment to safety and ability to work in a team under pressure

Preferred qualifications

Experience with heavy equipment and truck tires
